What People Are Saying?
“Drum class affects me on many levels, both calming and energising at the same time. It brings mind and body to a place not found elsewhere. Kaya is an amazing leader and phenomenal human being. I have been going to his class for 10 years and he remains constantly patient, humble, all-seeing, kind and inclusive.”

“I was initially drawn to drumming because it looked so fun and exciting. I quickly discovered that it is also great for my mental well-being. Drumming is a great workout for my mind and body, and keeps me feeling positive and grounded.”
— Jannelle
“I first saw Kaya when he led a parade of drummers and dancers across the Bellingen bridge, followed by many smiling dancing people, during the Bellingen River Festival in late 2012. The music was vibrant and fun, and it was the coolest thing I had ever seen. I signed up for Kaya’s drumming lessons and have been attending ever since.”
— Laurie
“Kaya’s caring and nurturing teaching style encourages students to learn rhythms at their own pace. He is a dynamic and energetic drum teacher with a background in music, adding history, singing and dancing to the rhythms that he teaches.”
